URL vs URI - Difference between URL and URI

As a developer or programmer, you may use URLs many times and also hear infinite times. So, there are two types of URLs and differentiate too. They both are used mutually and not a large difference between URL and URI. Before we go, let's see the definitions of each.

URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator which is an address of resource and way to directly access the web page or resources. It colloquially termed a web location, is a directory to a web source that defines its position on a computer interface and a mechanism for retrieving it.
